Blocks are DONE! This week, I buckled down and worked steadily to get this sampler to the finish line!
Goals ~ Setting them; Changing them
What started out as a desire to create a quilt filled with Dresden plate blocks, became a “I’m just making the same thing over and over.” I don’t like myself when I get to that point, so I accepted where I was at with this quilt and made some changes to my plan!
I’ve made enough blocks…
…that I feel confident that this upcoming week, I will lay all the blocks out in a design I will love and I’ll sew them together! I’ve added a few designs of my own that aren’t part of Susan Marth‘s design. I made two 18″ blocks and two additional 14″ blocks to complete my quilt. Week 9 (next week!) will be my wrap-up for this Sew along!
Thank you for your kind comments!
I appreciate all of you who may be following along, sewing along or just popping in and letting me know that you appreciate the pictures of my Dresden blocks! This sew along has been fun!
April Quilts Goals
Are you a list-making person? I totally am! There’s something about marking things off that makes me feel so happy! I’m well on my way for April’s list: this week I hope to get the quilt top completed on my Dresden Sampler (duh, you just read that), I’ve got the blocks done for my two Retreat House quilts AND I have one of my donation quilts reading for quilting! With 3 1/2 weeks left in April, I am feeling good!
Have a blessed week, ya’ll

Hi Natalie! I started the Dresden Sampler by using Susan Marth’s quilt and ended up redesigning it to better suit my style. You can read about how it all started and where the initial pattern may be found by reading here. I’d be glad to offer help if you need it!
