It’s been a busy week and I didn’t get done half of what I had planned! C’est La Vie!
It really is about the journey and I choose to not dwell on what didn’t get done but what I accomplished with my time. It’s been a busy week personally which left little time for quilting but that’s ok with me. I’m not on this earth to serve myself and my interests; I live by the Command: Love God, Love others.
It was a week of Loving Others
When I did get a little time to sew, I focused on one block for this week’s work on the Dresden Sew Along. One block people. And I didn’t even complete it! Ha.
Friendship Garden from Susan Marth
What I had assigned myself is the Friendship Garden block you see above (done by the quilt designer, Susan Marth). I was only able to sew the flying geese portions of the block but, hey, that’s what this week’s goal will be!
Don’t get discouraged if you too are “running behind.” Keep reminding yourself that you’re not running behind. It isn’t a race. I’m trying to keep us motivated so we don’t end up halfway done and then we stop, promising ourselves that we’ll come back to it in a week or two. That’s a path to a closet full of WIP’s.
Keep plugging along. We’re closer with every stitch to completion!!

Wish I had a bit more time to complete it, Angela. It’s made with happy colors for sure!
