I don’t know about you, but I am ready for this quarantine to end! It isn’t that I am usually out and about; I’m not! I’m a true homebody.
It’s the thought of being forced to do something that goes against my stubborn ways, I guess. Please don’t hate me, but I’m in the camp of those that believe it’s not our government’s job to babysit us for our own “good.” I know, I know, all the arguments for quarantining. And, in the hopes of avoiding a political conversation, I’ll just say that my trust exclusively lies with God and not any government or man.
But in the spirit of togetherness, and of sharing a meal around a table, face-to-face, I thought I’d share a few simple recipes that I’ve been making for my family for years. They’re quick to throw together with ingredients that are usually in my refrigerator.
That’s good, cause the shelves are nearly bare at my local stores!
Let me know if you make any (or all) of them, and what your family thinks, please. Will they become regulars in your rotation? It’s a nice vision in my head, loads of us sharing meals made by loving hands of the same ingredients, even though we may be miles apart!
