God’s Breath is Us
Genesis 2:7
Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
As long as we are living, we owe that debt to God, as His breath is in us. Each day we ought to be serving others and in so doing, we glorify God! Our Advent reading this morning is centered around that thought.
Read Genesis 15:1-6. Think of someone who might be having a difficult Christmas season and pray for them.
Then, be aware of ways that God might use you to help them beyond your prayer. Maybe offer to take them to coffee. How about dropping a prepared dinner off? Whatever you feel called to do, be willing to be the Light that friend may need to see in this world!
Today is my birthday
As I woke, my first thought was Thank You, Lord, for another day. As I get older (I’m not that old, btw), I grow more and more in love with God. Not “in love” like some kind of romantic thought. And not even a love like I have for my kids or my own parents. More a love that is in awe of who God is. How can I explain that feeling of knowing the Holy Spirit is in me?
Don’t be troubled. Believe in God
Jesus said it best, so please read here.
God is the entire essence of LOVE
He provides for me. Every little thing I take to Him in prayer is known by Him and He cares. I get overwhelmed when I think of His generosity, and I am not talking things. I want nothing more from another day on this earth than to be a loud voice sharing how good it is to be known and loved by God!
That is my prayer for every one today. That if you’re in a place that seems lonely, or facing a problem that appears unsolvable, I promise that God cares for YOU. You are not alone. The circumstances may not change but as you muddle through your situation, your reliance upon God builds your faith! Eventually, with enough faith and trust, you’ll see your life changing. It’s like a snowball rolling down a hill. The more you rely upon God, walking in faith, the stronger you become and the more you’ll naturally love God, resulting in more reliance upon Him when tough days hit you. Keep reading The Word, relying upon God’s promises and hold on for the ride!
