Christ is coming!
December 4, 2021. Our last day in our first week of Advent. Our week of HOPE. Hope which sustains us.
Read Genesis 3:8-15. Share a made-up story (or have your children make up a story) which includes reindeer, candy canes, ornaments, a blizzard and the shepherds.
God’s promise of Hope
I don’t know about you but the images of Adam and Eve having a personal relationship with God Himself while living peacefully in the Garden of Eden has always provided me with such a sense of longing. I want that! I want God asking where I am, as though my presence matters. Imagine the hour before Eve took that bite. She didn’t realize how good she had it!
The innocence lost. How ashamed and aware they became.
Hope in Christ
The promise that God made to Adam and Eve, that one day all would be made right, can only result from Christ’s sacrifice. From Adam’s first sin to Christ’s payment for all mankind’s sins, we will all be reunited with God. We will have the personal relationship that they shared with God. That is all made possible through the Christmas babe who loves us.
