December 3, 2021. Our third day of Advent, of preparing our hearts for the sweet arrival of the Christmas babe, Jesus Christ.
Read Isaiah 40:9-11. This is our week of Hope. Make a list of three things that will make this Advent season special for you and your friends and family.
Hustle and Bustle
Maybe you are getting your cookie recipes ready to bake for loved ones and neighbors. You might be decorating your home, inside and out, with the colors of the season. There’s shopping for gifts. Our hours become filled with so many things to be done.
If you find yourself longing for something else as you move through the month of December, let me tell you that you are longing for the peace that Jesus offers! Focus your thoughts on Jesus as you walk through the day and you will gradually feel His presence and His peace descend upon you. I promise!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
