Jennifer, from The Everyday Farmhouse, is on the podcast today. She’s soft-spoken, easy to listen to and has a faith that is deep!
God led me to the perfect new friend when I was praying about who He wanted to be my next guest. Jennifer is just such a shining example of what being a “modern day Christian” is all about. It’s hard doing it all: being a mom, wife and managing a household of 11. But she does it with such grace and by relying upon her faith.
The Everyday Farmhouse
When she was praying with her husband about the timing of starting a blog, he challenged her to keep Titus 2:4 at the forefront of all she does.
“That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children” (KJV)
I can be a witness that she’s keeping that advice close to her heart.
I love that Jennifer was honest with me about her hesitancy of being on the podcast. She was fearful that my stories were meant to be more of an inspiration for business rather than inspiring each other to live our faith more openly and to have it be the focus of our daily walk (which includes being business owners, bloggers, influencers). I’m not doing my job well (shining our testimonies back on God’s story) if I haven’t conveyed well the stories these women have been sharing.
I will do a better job going forward!
Love God and Love Others
The stories I’m sharing are how women are faithful followers and disciples living in modern day. It’s hard finding a balance of not offending someone in today’s world when we proclaim our faith. But, that’s our job! We’re called to share our faith and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Jennifer does that. And she does it well!
I encourage you to listen to her story on the podcast. Then follow her on her blog, The Everyday Farmhouse. She’ll make you feel welcome, I promise!
