Welcome January ~ Quilt Swaps We’re Looking At Ya

Dresdens. We’re talked about them. I’ve heard from you on Instagram. You love them too! You want to do a casual mini Sew Along AND a Dresden Block Swap. Let’s do both!

I’m in love with Dresden blocks but don’t yet have a quilt made of them. Maybe you’re the same way. If so, wanna take part in a swap?

What is a Quilt Block Swap?

What you will do is create the blocks to the specifications set by the Block Swap organizer. Mail your blocks in to the organizer. If you make and send one block, the organizer will send one block back to you. If you make and send 10 blocks in, you’ll get 10 different blocks back. Swaps are a great way for you to expand the fabrics within your quilt.

Bonnie & Camille Dresden Blocks

Want to take part? We’re going to make Dresden blocks using Bonnie & Camille fabrics. These should be scrappy, meaning your block should include blades made from several fabric choices – but ALL made with Bonnie & Camille fabrics. Finished block sizes should be 12.5″. Background fabrics may be white solid (Moda or Kona quality) or low volume fabrics.

Dresden Quilt Workshop

I’m not quite able to lead a quilt along right now cause I don’t want to spread myself too thin and do a poor job BUT I will be starting this Dresden quilt. I’ll be posting loads of pictures and hints. I’d love if you joined along! I’ve got the templates and the book in my shop.
