Fabric Fridays ~ I’m back ~ reviews and highlights of fabrics in my shop and those I am using in my quilts.
Lori Holt from Bee in My Bonnet has been hosting the Vintage Block Along using vintage patterns and weaving stories of her grandmother in with each post. It’s been going on all of 2019 (I believe there are 40 blocks total!) and if you’ve been sewing along, you’re going to need the perfect vintage fabric to back your quilt. This blue wide back print might just work! It looks like embroidery projects and is quite ideal to accompany all of the throw-back patterns Lori has presented.
Isn’t that little girl with the mixing bowl just darling?
Bee Backgrounds
Are you still loving low volume prints as much as I do? I really like this honeycomb print in grey. And it reminds me of the chicken wire I use for my hens! Totally a winner print in my book!
Farm Girl Vintage
Farm Girl Vintage Flower – sweet, isn’t it? Could easily be used as a low volume print too as well as a border or binding.
Fan of green? I’m not so sure that I love it enough to declare it my Color of the Year but the makers of Kona cottons are the professionals here. I’m gonna sit with it a while and consider whether or not I’m a fan.
Thoughts?
Gingham Farmhouse
This is more my style! Delicate colors. Gingham prints. Florals. Bunnies. I’m all in! Just need to select my pattern – always my biggest cause of delay!
So very pretty, isn’t it?
Well, for 2019, that’s it for Fabric Fridays. There’ll be more next year, I promise. And if you saw something that you can’t live without, click the links and you’ll find the items in my shop.
